Our History
My Mall Gift Use began in 2019 as a very small home-based project. The founder, a former gift buyer for a local mall flower shop, often watched customers struggle to find gifts that worked for both children and adults. Parents would buy a beautiful bouquet but then have to buy a separate toy and figure out how to wrap them together. Grandparents would ask for “something pretty but also fun for a 4‑year‑old.” There was a clear gap in the market: no one offered a ready‑to‑give toy gift box with a floral aesthetic. So the founder started experimenting with simple cardboard boxes, floral print paper, and carefully chosen plush toys.
During the first year, only friends and family knew about the boxes. The founder made everything by hand in a small spare room — cutting boxes, gluing floral liners, tying ribbons, and writing thank-you notes. The very first design was a “Sunny Daisy” box with a small yellow plush and a hand-drawn flower tag. Word spread through local parent groups and daycare centers. By early 2020, demand had grown beyond what one person could handle alone. That spring, the founder rented a small storage unit to keep inventory and hired one part-time assistant to help with assembly and shipping.
In 2021, we officially launched our website, My Mall Gift Use, and expanded beyond plush toys to include building sets, puzzles, and roleplay kits. We moved from the storage unit to a small warehouse in the US Midwest, which allowed us to stock more products and ship to all 50 states. That same year, we introduced our first “Build & Grow” category — wooden flower-building sets that became an instant customer favorite. By the end of 2021, we had fulfilled over 5,000 orders and received our first mention in a regional parenting blog. The company remained completely self-funded, growing slowly but steadily through customer referrals and repeat buyers.
Today, we have delivered more than 50,000 flower-themed toy gift boxes to families across the United States. Our team has grown to eight people, including designers, packers, and customer care specialists. We still hand-inspect every box before it ships, and we still use the same floral illustration style that defined our very first product. While we are much larger than the home-based operation of 2019, our core belief has never changed: a gift should be beautiful on the outside, joyful on the inside, and effortless to give. We are proud to be an independent, US-based company, and we look forward to bringing floral toy magic to many more children in the years ahead.
